Long Pants BOARD noted that Rob was BORED and decided that they too would like to co-opt Mr Hindsight to the Long Pants staff.

Bored this lunchtime I put together BOTR team from current players not taken this summer.

Kuszczak (MU) 3
Steinsson (BOL) 11
Traore (PORT) 10
Hangeland (FUL) 10
Cahill (BOL) 9
Ireland (MC) 15
Geovanni (HULL) 15
Delap (STO) 13
Osman (EVE) 11
Zaki (WIG) 26
Carew (AV) 21

Which would give a table topping 144 points as of today!

Sheffield Wednesday coach Brian Laws has praised his players after they agreed to stump up £60 each to pay for their own train tickets to Crystal Palace on Saturday. (The Sun)

Also, I actually agree, its 20 years since we actually completed in the league above - but it would be nice to see the best supported teams up there instead of the Wigans and Hulls of this world. That said i'm a Hull fan these days

...you won it twice when I was still in short trousers!

Even Trevor Francis was a young man back then.

The problem is, like Wednesday (and Liverpool - no league title since before the war), Forest are still living off their past achievements.

I don't buy all this "big club" bollo*ks. Both Wednesday and Forest have been poor for years, have run up big debts and have been badly managed on and off the pitch. They aren't big clubs anymore.

The potential might be there for them to be successful again, but neither has a devine right to be successful.

As for the big stars - after watching them on Tuesday you can have Jeffers as he's just simply shit, but Leon's worth keeping for the comedy value. He tries bless him but couldn't hit the proverbial barn door even if he had all week to do it.

but... we've won the European Cup, twice!

I just hope for your sake he doesn't take the big stars away from Hillsborough with him - what would you do without Jeffers, Clarke etc?!

However, we are deep in a relegation dogfight - maybe things are a bit roser Don-side

He can come and throw plates at Andy Cole though

...must not bite.

But it's too tempting - Forest?! A big club?!

Jamie you're having a laugh aren't you?

Forest being a "big club" is up there with the Pig's team being "full of Premier League stars".

Speed? Beattie? Yep Premier League stars alright - last century though.
