Two days till the final and I'd have to say the nerves have started a season which could tail off with defeat over the weekend or on the other hand put the double right back on with a strong score line! I don't want to be known as mr runner up this season but realize lord Ted will have his players right up for it! Good luck three fullbacks, COME ON Argentina let's do it for our injured captain and player of the season!

The first leg of Sir Alex's double-attempt occurs this weekend when Argentina take on Three Fullbacks in the FFL Cup Final.

Current holders, Argentina, start as slight favourites, but Three Fullbacks have a great cup tradition, having won the cup for the two years before Argentina. So we're in for a treat.

Sir Alex vs Lord Ted - what a game !

Of course there is an element of luck, Ben, in achieving top spot in the FFL. But REALLY outstanding managers make their own luck by astute positioning amd judgement at oction time. But beyond that, really GREAT managers also show they can manage unpredictable, uncouth, unwanted people like Sir Harry Hatchet-Job. No one has ever heard a peep out of your Board so you've never REALLY had to prove your management skills at that level. So you know in your heart that Long Pants, the current champions, truly deserve to be top.

What you on about dad? Van Persie got 5 points in the last game, 1 goal 1 assist. Total 48 points: http://www.fantasyleague.com/Classic/Stats/Player/robin-van-persie.aspx
Stop whinging, you know you're lukcy to be top anyway, let alone trying to nick points.

Now we all know that there are occasions when points that our team should be awarded do not appear. Ben has complained about points that he believes Arshavin should have earned. I know that a Van Persie assist was ignored last week. However, none of you have to work to intercept threatening letters from your Club Chairman as a result! Here is an excerpt from Hatchet-Job's letter to the FFL committee that I managed to prevent being sent,
"Oy
Yoo commity peeple. I’m torking to yoo coz you’ve dun my teem an injustiss. Van P. definitly got that assist. So giv us them poyntz coz we ernd %u2018em. I want %u2018em poyntz now. NOW! Hand %u2018em over... NOW. If yoo don’t I’ll...."
The rest reveals Sir Harry's default procedures as a slum landlord from where he earned his money, his knighthood and, most prestigiously, the charmanship of Long Pants.

FFL CUP - SEMI FINALS

In a low scoring, defensive affair, the "Kirkman" semi was settled by a late goal from Javier Hernadez, proving that "father knows best".

Seymours sexy squad -2 (Upson -3, Jagielka 1)
vs
Three Fullbacks 2 (Howard -1, Hernandez 3)

In the All-Kohn semi, big(ger) brother prevailed - a fine effort from Sam but overwhelmed by a big score from brother Alex.

Argentina 14 (Gomes 3, Lescott 5, Duff 2, Anelka 2, Tevez 3)
vs
Dancin in the Streets 7 ( Skrtel 2, Silva 3, Valecia 2)

So the final will be between current holders (Argentina) and the winner of the previous (two) years (Three Fullbacks).

Final will be held over the weekend of 7th/8th/9th May.

Yours
The FFL Cup Committee

With me about to enter a cave for the next 4 months, with no Sky Sports (!), I thought it might be a good idea to throw some dates into the hat for the next oction.

I am free 5th/6th/7th August and possibly 12th August.

And also 19th August.

Congratulations to whoever wins the FFL this season. I am assuming it won't be me, but you never know!

Al

great victory by my boys, great to see my bench warmers, crocks, reserves, and Real Madrid players taking down Allan. Obviously been a poor season so far but it's always been my intention to solely focus on the FFL cup. Next up; big Brother.

On another more unsavoury note, very sad to see Long Pants players using drugs. If, and its almost impossible to foresee when you actually look how rubbish his team is, ray wins the league then it will be a slap in the face for fair play and sportsmanship. I for one will be remaining seated during the prestigious pre-oction trophy presentation.
