Ray's prediction for the cup was reported to his Board. If it comes true, he is being hired by a syndicate of Indian gamblers; if not, then he is due to join Scolari on the scapheap - but with slightly less money....

The first round of the FFL Cup completed over the weekend with the following results:

Seymours Sexy Squad 4

Dan Pet Rescuers 9

Team America (and Shrek) 12

Dancin in the Streets 6

I’ll be Top, etc, etc 5

So Rob wins his first ever (I think) cup match, and takes out current top of the league in the process (bye, bye Jamie).

Jenny (whose mind was on other matters that weekend — congratulations on the arrival of Benjamin, to increase the number of Sexy Seymours) falls at the first hurdle to Tilly.

In the Kohn Derby, Ben and Shrek took the honours while Sam was out partying in the road outside.

And finally, Little Freddy took advantage of Allan being away for a couple of weeks to squeeze into the next round by one point. Still if Allan really does want to be top by the end of the season he’s probably better off concentrating on the league.

The draw for the first round was (hurriedly) made tonight. Matches are:

Jenny vs Tilly
Neil gets a bye, and plays winner of above in next round

Ben vs Sam
Ray gets a bye and plays winner in of above next round

Jamie vs Rob
Alex gets a bye and plays winner of above in next round

Allan vs Freddie
Ted gets a bye, and plays winner of above in next round.

First round matches will be played this weekend (matches on Saturday 7th thru Monday 9th Feb).

Second round matches will be played over weekend of 7th/9th March.

Hi Tilly, I seem to be missing a few points. Walcott shows zero but has five, Tevez shows zero but has 16. I've not checked the others, but Jo shows zero (he probably has zero, though)
