Well done Jamie.
On a separate note I was impressed by Rafa's ranting this season and I want to produce some stats of my own...
this season my team has the highest goals total in the league
and second highest assists total.
And the second top scoring player overall.
Yet I still managed to finish in 7th place due to some absolute shit in my defence and goal.
This travesty of justice will not be repeated, bring on this year's auction.

Can I be the first to congratulate the winner of this season's FFL Championship - whoever it maybe - but presumably it's Jamie.
If it is, that now leaves - I think - just me and Uncle Tilly as the only current FFL members who haven't won the title.
I feel shame.
I know you are all waiting, breathless, to see to whom Long Pants will present the cup on Friday 7th August. Will it be Jamie? Will it be Jenny? One thing is certain... I won't be presenting it to myself this year!

However, I think that congratulations are long overdue to Ted. His masterful performance in the Cup ... 2 years running! That must be a first. My query is ... what cup has he won? We don't have a cup for the cup winner!
The big match of the weekend (forget Man U v Arsenal, and Chelsea v Barca) saw Three Fullbacks taking on Bottom Again in the FFL Cup Final.
Could Bottom Again take their first trophy for a few years and keep manager Neil in his job ?
Could Three Fullbacks become the first FFL Team to win successive Cups ?
Well, class and experience told in the end. Bottom Again froze on the big day and could only muster 1 point.
Three Fullbacks, as usual, played open attacking football and amassed 10 points, to retain the trophy.
Final score therefore was 10 — 1, which avenges the defeat suffered by Ted when these teams last played in the final in 2005 (see list below).
So Ted retains the Cup — Neil can concentrate on catching Jamie in the League.
That’s it for this (Cup) Season.
For Your Info, below are the Cup Finalists since we started the competition:
Year Winners Runners Up
2008/9 Three Fullbacks (Ted) Bottom Again (Neil)

Thought you might like to see the above — have we got a league winners list ??
Yes Jamie,
We did all warn you that it would happen again! Jenny is coming up the table strong again towards the end of the season. Although, I think it might be a little tough to catch up this time!

Just a reminder that the FFL Cup Final is scheduled for this weekend.

Defending cupwinners, Three Fullbacks, try to achieve back-to-back wins in the FFL Cup. Standing in their way are Bottom Again, managed by Neil.

The tension is building. The supporters are getting excited. I can smell the hot dog stands outside the ground. Bring it on.
If it happens again there will be tears!!
Jamie must be getting a little worried. he may well recall being in an unassailable position a few years back only to be pipped on the last day of the season. Well, look who's coming up on the rails ! It's Jenny Seymour (again). Watch out Jamie.
Well it had to happen — it’s just been one of those seasons.
The semi-finals paired struggling "Long Pants" against third placed "Bottom Again", and, struggling "A Load of Bullards" against "Three Fullbacks", and the form book was ripped up !
(Only kidding)
Giggs and Distin had a go for Ray’s Long Pants, but the team score of 6 just wasn’t enough to prevent Neil’s Bottom Again getting to the final with a very good score of 12 points, half of which came from the sulking Ronaldo.
In the other semi, Rob’s Load of Bullards were in untested territory and nerves proved to be too much. The only scores mustered by Rob were all negatives, with Gomes, Bridge and Curtis Davies all conceding points to gain a miserable —4 for Rob. Experience told for the current cup holders and Three Fullbacks cruised into another final, with a relaxed 18 points, to provide one of the biggest victory margins recorded in Cup History. Never Mind Rob the experience will be good for your team and help them next year (perhaps).
So the final is a Kirkman derby match between Neil and Ted. Scheduled date is the weekend of 2nd and 3rd of May
Results later that week.
All the best
